I joined the team at Albury House in September 2010 after moving back to my home county of Somerset. I enjoy all aspects of working as an Osteopath, most notably how an integrated approach can be so beneficial not only to a patients symptoms, but their whole well being. I feel very fortunate to work in a field of medicine that enables me to spend time with my patients and to establish the cause of their complaint rather than treat their symptoms. When not at work, I spend my time running after my two children, walking our dogs and practicing yoga!

George graduated from Plymouth Marjon University with a Masters in Osteopathic Medicine (M.Ost) and is also qualified in Sports Massage and Medical Acupuncture.

George’s practice as an Osteopath is versatile, helping people with a large range of health complaints across a wide age bracket. He uses safe and effective hands-on techniques which can include soft tissue massage, joint articulation and mobilisation. Every patient is treated as an individual with treatment and management that fits their lifestyle and work patterns.

His interest in the profession arose after a a severe rock climbing accident, which, after being treated by numerous healthcare professionals, found osteopathy to be the most effective way to relieve pain and restore function. George relocated to the South-West after spending years teaching sailing in the UK and abroad. With a great passion for the outdoors and maritime history, he feels very fortunate to be within close reach of Devon & Dorset’s spectacular coastline.

I graduated from the University College of Osteopathy, in London after a 4 year master’s degree and I am an experienced Sports Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher (200YTT).

I have always had a keen interest in movement and mental health which led me to yoga teacher training. The course has influenced how I practice osteopathy by incorporating elements of yoga into treatment whilst maintaining a structural and functional approach.

Managing patients’ expectations and helping them understand their bodies better is central to my practice along with helping patients reach their fitness and general wellness goals.

In my spare time I like to keep active and enjoy various activities, including surfing, weight lifting, cooking and going to music events.
